Office 2007 RTM Problem!

BA

I installed Office 2007 RTM version on my Windows Vista RTM. Every time
I open an Office program (Word, Excel..) I get "Configuration Progress"
window which does something for about a minute, and then the program
starts.

Anybody knows a workaround for this?
Thanks.

The first thing to try is Diagnose, which replaced Detect and Repair (Office
button > Word Options > Resources > Diagnose...)

Thanks for the tip, I will surely try that and share the results once I
get home, but in my case Office applications do not actually display
any error messages. They just start up "Configuratoin Progress" and
after it's done with whatever it's doing, the application works.

Anyways, I will keep the group posted about the progress.

Nope, it didn't do the trick.
It's so annoying. Every time I launch an Office 2007 app, this
"Configuration Progress" pops out.

Are you logged on using Administrator rights when this happens? If not
then that's what you need to do so the Office installation can be
completed.
