When I create a new document in any of the office 2007 applications (word,
excel, powerpoint, etc.) I cannot save or save as
All I get is an hourglass. I have to shut down the application using the
task manager.
I can edit existing documents and save them.
I just cannot create new documents from a Office 2007 application
I can create a new office document by right clicking in a folder, then
selecting new word document for example.
After the document is created in this manner, I can open it, edit it and
save it.
OS WinXP professional SP2
Office Professional Plus SP1

I have a dual boot setup with WinXP and Vista Business x64
In my Vista environment, using the same installation of office, I can save
new documents.
