Office 2007 SBE & Word As E-Mail Editor

D

Dennis

I currently am using a trial version of Office Home And Student 2007 that
came with my new Gateway notebook PC, and a seperate trial version of Outlook
2007. Because of this combination, I do NOT have the option available to me
to use Word as my e-mail editor in Outlook (I understand that, because of
this particular combination, that is normal behavior).

If I purchase Office Small Business 2007, will I be able to use Word as my
e-mail editor in Outlook?

Thank you!

Uninstall the Office trial prior to installing Office SBE if you do purchase
the SBE edition of Office. That version will have all of the functionality
of Office.

Hi Dennis,

Outlook2007 does not include a 'use Word as email editor' option as in prior versions. As a standalone Outlook comes with a portion
of Word that it uses as its editor. When Outlook 2007 and Word 2007 are included in the same MS Office product suite it still uses
the underlying parts of Word in the background but it doesn't 'run' Word as a separate app for editing.
