Office 2007 setup failure using adminfile and SMS

I have tested installing Office 2007 Professional Plus with both SMS
and using command line
and It keeps getting hung up.
I created a basic admin file using this command:
setup.exe /admin
It's called skills_install_view.msp
This just adds the key code and tells it to run in basic mode with no
prompts.
I also made one that was silent for installing with SMS.
Here is the last few lines from the log file where it hangs up with the
silent SMS install:

After 2 hours of inactivity and a failure message from SMS I rebooted
the PC.
About 12 hours later SMS tried to re-install the same package and it
worked.

Now I just built a clean Vista machine and used the View only adminfile
with a command line start and the log did the same thing. No progress
on the bar and the log file stalls in the same place.
On Vista install #2 it stalls here:
Successfully installed package: InfoPathMUI.en-us path:C:\MSOCache\All
Users\{90120000-0044-0409-0000-0000000FF1CE}-C\InfoPathMUI.msi

After this it should say:
Executing chained package: Proof.es-es


The SMS stuff was one test PC at a time.
Some of the command line testing was launched from a DFS share.

Any ideas???

I was able to resolve the issue by moving the .msp file into the
updates folder instead of calling it from the command line.
I don't know why this should be an issue since it's a documented
option.

I was able to resolve the issue by moving the .msp file into the

This also resolved the issue for me. The SMS installation started but
after 30 minutes it still hadn't finished. It just got stuck every
time I tried. I moved the .msp file to the updates folder in the
package source folder and it installed fine. It took about 15 minutes
from start to finish, including one reboot.
