Office 2007 setup log folder

Owen Gilmore

Hi,

I'm trying to set up logs to go into c:\control\logs. Here is what my
config.xml looks like in the standard.ww folder:

<Logging Type="standard" Path="c:\control\logs"
Template="WS_MS_Office_Standard_2007(*).txt"
/>
The problem is the log is not created. The config.xml is properly
configured, because other properties that I configured (ARPHELPTELEPHONE for
one) do get configured. The c:\control\logs directory already exists.
Anybody have any luck placing logs anywhere other than %temp%? or have any
idea why Office setup might be refusing to create it?

Hi Owen,

Is a log being created in the %temp% location or not at all?
What is the command line you're running to install MS Office?

Hi bob, thanks, no log file is created at all and I am just using setup.exe.
The config.xml is valid because other properties are applied from it.
