Office 2007 setup

Danny

I installed an OEM version of
MS office 2007 Small Business Edition with the Professional trial included
and installed in on a new computer I built for a customer. Everything works
fine and MSO2007SBE is activated. The problem is when my customer opens a
picture, microsoft picture manager opens and a popup windows also opens
asking to purchase the Pro version. we close the window and the picture opens
in picture manager and everything is fine until you open another picture. I
would like to turn off or remove the trial part.

Thanks
Danny

I had a similar problem after installing the MS Project 2007 trial.

I have read some of the other threads about similar problems. The
file-replacement solution (ID_10031.dpc) didn't work for me. However, I think
I solved the problem this way:

I went to "Add or Remove Programs" and selected the Project 2007 entry and
clicked on the "Change" button. Then I selected "Add or remove features." In
the next step, I found the Picture Manager under "Office Tools" and selected
the "Not available" option. Then I proceeded to update the installation.

Unfortunately, it looked like the image files were no longer associated with
the Picture Manager. So the next step was to open the regular Office Picture
Manager (Start -> Programs -> Microsoft Office 200x -> Microsoft Office Tools
-> Microsoft Office Picture Manager). Then I went to Tools | File Types...
and selected the file types I wanted to associate with the Picture Manager.
BINGO! Everything seems to be working the way it should!

(P.S. -- I tried using Windows Explorer to make the file type associations
but it didn't work.)

P.P.S. I'm hoping you can use a similar process to disable the Picture
Manager feature of your Office Professional trial.... Good luck!
