OFFICE 2007 SHOULD HAVE OPTIONAL CLASSIC INTERFACE

S

sunil

When office 2007 is installed, you should be given the option of using the
new office interface or a slightly jazzed up version of the office 2003
interface.

Also, in office help you should be told of the new features and how to
access them, as people have got used to accessing features in office 2003.

You can suggest this but I know this will not change.

As for finding out more information on the new features or old ones in
Help. "What's New" is the first topic in the table of contents and if
you expand it, you'll find the topic titled: "Reference: Locations of
Word 2003 commands in Word 2007"

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email can not be acknowledged.

There won't be. Office 2007 will ship with the new UI only. Period.

Help isn't finished yet. You can expect it to be a lot better in the
final product. There is some interesting content on Office Online Beta
to help people get used to the new UI.

Following trends, about the only thing certain is that Office 2007
online help will be slower than it was in Office 2003.
