I'm trying to do an unattended SMS deployment of Office 2007 Basic. I
can't get setup to remove previous installations of Office even though
I've instructed it to do so in the MSP. This essentially results in a
corrupt installation because Outlook 2007 is completely incompatible
with previous versions and it results it all kinds of quirks in the
other apps. All of the other setup settings work, including UI level
and product key entry. I suspect that it may be due to users having
Office applications open during setup, is there anyway to
automatically close them or to do an installation when the user logs
on? The setup won't run via SMS when I specify "Run when user is
logged off".
Any suggestions?
