I'm trying to setup a silent install of Outlook 2007, from the Enterprise
Office 2007 Cd. I've got it working, but I noticed it doesn't put the
entries I put in the SOURCELIST tag anywhere in the registry. I've confirmed
that it's not using the settings by deleting the local cache, and deleting a
key file - it comes up with the normal MSI repair, but isn't looking anywhere
but in the local source location.
I then tried putting the source into an .MSP and did a complete reinstall.
Same thing - nowhere in the registry is my sourcelist, and deleting the files
makes it look to the local source.
I understand that the local source should be the first location, as it's
quicker - but what happens if a user deletes that, and needs a repair, or an
additional file.
Can anyone tell me why this isn't working as documented? (see
http://technet2.microsoft.com/Offic...fed4-40da-a886-95e596c3999e1033.mspx?mfr=true ).
