Office 2007 SP2 Install Failure

I am getting this error message when trying to install Office 2007 SP1:

The detectiuon failed, this can be due to a corrupted installation database

I am stuck now, as I get the same error is I try to unisntall the software
to start over. Has anyone seem this before, and if so what did you do to
correct the issue? Thanks.

I had the same problem until I made sure that both the Blackberry Device
Manager and Blackberry Desktop were not running. Once I stopped them
both, SP2 installed without a hitch.
