Office 2007 Standard - Retail version vs Trial Professional versio

I installed and have been using for some time now the Trial Professional
version of O2007. I really only need the Standard verision. I picked up the
upgrade Std version today from my retailer.

Question... can I just convert my trail installation using the product code
only.. or.. do I have to uninstall the pro version and start over... or..
just install the std version over the trial pro version.

Any guidence will be greatly appreciated.

Uninstall the trial. Install the upgrade.

You have a qualifying application?
The trial is not a qualifying version.

Of course I have a qualifying version... O2k3 full version.... which I
uninstalled after installing the 2k7 trial.

Anyhow... uninstalling the trial and installing from scratch worked
perfectly. the install asked for my qualifying CD and all went smoothly. All
my settings in all office application were retained... I couldn't be happier.

Trial versions tend to muddy the waters. Always best to dump them first.
