Office 2007 Technical Refresh problems

D

dsmerda

When I try to install the Office 2007 Technical Refresh I get an error
message saying the installation of this package failed. Please see for more
information

Any ideas on how to get past that

I'm having the same problem; i can't help but think mine is being caused by
an incomplete download file, though. I've tried to download the file
[office2007b2tr-kb000000-fullfile-en-us.exe] several times, and the dialog
box leads me to expect a file that is roughly 494MB in size; however, 5 times
in a row the download appears to complete at only 96% with a file size of
499,999,784B (or 476MB).

Funny thing is, i downloaded the TR updates for Office, Visio and Project
together. The TR update for Office won't run, so i just ran the updates for
Visio and Project. They completed successfully, and i can run Visio and
Project; but now the Office products will not work any more...

Does anyone know the correct, exact filesize and/or checksum and/or MD5sum
for the [office2007b2tr-kb000000-fullfile-en-us.exe] file? Knowing if i do
have the full, complete download would be a help.

Hmm...

Thanks for the quick response, Milly. At least i now know to worry about
getting a solid copy of the file, and can stop worrying about how best to
divine the intent of an empty error message. :)
