Office 2007 TR won't re-install

Mart

I originally had beta2 of Office 2007 installed. I then installed the TR but
then I couldn't open *any* documents at all. So, I uninstalled Office 2007
TR. I have now tried to reinstall the TR but at the point where it says that
all programs are OK (near the beginning of the install process) the install
just stops after I press OK. Any ideas?

Hi Mart,

A common solution to the can't open documents issue in Office 2007 Beta2+Technical Refresh update is to open the Symantec-Norton
products options settings dialog and in the Miscellaneous tab and disable the 'Office Plug in' choice.

The Technical Refresh update (B2TR) is a series of patch files to the Office 2007 Beta 2 installation. B2TR does not have a
separate uninstall or installation choice. If you uninstalled an Office 2007 product that had its B2TR update applied, then before
you can reinstall it and reapply the B2TR update you'd also need to remove all other 2007 Office family products, reinstall the Beta
2 editions of each then reapply the B2TR patches for each.

See if the steps in this article for troubleshooting B2TR help with additional information in the log files.
