Office 2007 Trial conflicts with Office 2000 Word

After loading the Office 2007 trial, following the instructions in
Microsoft's Article ID 930559, my version of Word 2000 will no longer open.
I may have somehow failed to uncheck Word when customizing the installation.
I tried repairing Office 2000 and the repair appeared to have worked, but
Word 2000 still will not load. Is there any way I can get Word 2000 to work
again???
