Office 2007 trial - Outlook will not install

I am running Microsoft Office XP professional and replaced with Office 2007
Beta. When trial version became available, I uninstalled beta (not the
original microsoft office), and installed trial. Everything loaded (I think)
except outlook. Do I need to uninstall Microsoft Office XP Professional, and
then reinstall Trial? What is the risk of loosing data?

At least uninstall Outlook 2002. Make a copy of your pst, but you probably
won't need it. The registry is not affected when you unistall, so everything
so remain the same when you finally get outlook 2007 working.

Diane -

After uninstalling microsoft office xp professional, I continue to get the
error message:

Microsoft Office Professional 2007 CD2 set up has failed. If the problem
persists, please contact product support.

AND - Outlook is not installed. I have run registry 'cleaners" I will
attempt to uninstall 2007 and start over, any thoughts on how to fix?

I am having a similar issue . . . I use Office XP and Outlook 2003 and
downloaded Office 2007 Standard trial (thinking that it would include Outlook
2007 trial). While everything worked fine, I could not find Outlook 2007 as
part of the downloaded program. I have now uninstalled the Office 2007
Standard trial and am in the process of downloading Office 2007 Professional
trial to see if it will work. Based on what you are saying, I am not too
sure . . .

I am also concerned about whether I will be able to export/import messages I
retrieve into Outlook 2007 back to 2003 if my trial period expires before I
can purchase 2007. Any thoughts on that?

Thanks

After uninstalling everything (microsoft office xp professional and trial
version 2007) and going to a new trial install, I used the custom set up and
checked outlook. It now shows up on my "all programs" list but when I open
it opens a partial first page and then locks up. As bad as this is, my other
programs (word, excell, etc....) now have a pop up show up when I open
telling my me trial version has expired and do I wish to convert.

The part 2 of the trial version install will not install still. I continue
to get the following message: Microsoft Office Professional 2007 CD2 Set Up
has failed. If the problem persists, please contact product support.

My problem persists and this is the only support I can find. Any thoughts?

Any thoughts?!!! Specifically on how to get outlook to open?
