I have a COM Addin that runs in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. In Office 2000,
XP, and 2003, it was not visible in the Tools->COM Addins dialog box because
I have it loading from HKLM instead of HKCU.
Now I'm looking at Office 2007 and suddenly this COM Addin is being shown,
since COM Addins from HKLM are not hidden by default any more. Is there a
way to hide this addin so that it doesn't show up to the user?
I found a registry key (DontDisplayHKLMAddins) that appears to be for
Outlook only (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/929590).
Does anyone know of a way to get this same behavior in Excel/Word/PPT ?
Thanks.
