Office 2007 Updates Fail To Install

I have Office Professional 2007 installed on a computer running Vista Home
Premium 64-bit OS. When Office updates try to install, they always fail.
Other updates install fine. If I try to install manually, I get an
"unexpected version" error message. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Have you ever resolved this problem? I have the exact same issue and would
love to find a solution.
