Office 2007 Upgrade

I just got the Office 2007 Upgrade for going to the Microsoft 2007 Launch in
my city. Once I installed the product my Office 2003 icons were gone in the
start menu (which is fine) but in my Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel, I
still have Office 2003 items in there (almost 400mb worth).

Can I remove all these 2003 instances from the menu?

First of all...did you REALLY get the paid upgrade or is it a trial
version? If it is a trial version, it'll stop working soon unless you
pay for it. If that is the case, you may not want to remove 2003 yet.

Second, did you do an UPGRADE when you installed? And did you say YES
to remove previous version? I'll assume not.

If you paid for it and know that it's not a trail version that will
stop working...and you don't want 2003 on your system any
longer...then, yes, you can remove that version. But know that you CAN
still run that version if it is still on your system. Granted,
Microsoft loves to hijack the current icons with the new ones...but
you should be able to still find the old EXEs and drag out icons if
you wanted to use them. But if you're satisfied with using 2007
without keeping 2003 on your system...remove it if you need the space.
But make sure you DO have a paid version and not a trial version,
unless you do plan to pay for it.

Thanks, I actually got tired of some error messages and removed all versions
of Office 2003 from the add/remove programs. Everything is still working
fine.

The version I got is the download from the microsoft website, but for going
to the Microsoft 2007 Launch last week, they gave everyone a different
registration # to use to activate it to the "full" version.

Thanks for the help.
