You probably need to delete the "Building Blocks.dotx" file as described
in the "Everyone" section under "B2TR Issues" at
http://pschmid.net/blog/2006/09/18/43 .

Thanks, for the link; however the building blocks.dotx is not on my machine,
and reloading word does not rebuild it. Further, reloading word 2007 does
not correct the problem. The only file is the word template
The drop down menu for inserting page numbers yield "blanks"

If you have installed Office 2007, building blocks.dotx must be on your
machine. Reinstalling any version of Office rarely resolves anything as the
registry, add-ins, macros and templates (usually the cause of problems) are
not removed, reinstalled or repaired.
