Let me make something very clear first: I have NO information on this
from Microsoft. This is purely my own thinking and speculation.
I don't know if the Office team will do anything similar to the Vista
team or not. Generally, the decision what (if anything at all) to give
to beta testers is up to each team. If the team decided to reward its
beta testers with a copy of Office, then there is the question as to how
to provide its testers with it. Vista apparently decided to make it
available as download. IF (and again, I don't have any information from
MS on this topic) the team decided to do such a reward, then they could
have decided though to ship a box with a CD/DVD. If that is the case,
then I wouldn't expect anything in the mail for several weeks, as
producing the media and box plus shipping it takes a while.
I'd personally suggest therefore to wait until after January 30 (date of
retail/OEM launch, meaning that's the date by which Office boxes have to
be in stores) with any accusation of Microsoft being unfair.
Again, I don't know anything from MS on this topic, I am just
speculating.

So why didn't Office 2007 technical beta testers get a free copy of Office
2007 for submitting bugs like Vista beta testers got a free copy of Vista
Ultimate??. This is just plain unfair!!!. I've beta tested Office 2003 and
2007 and got nothing but a cheap FM radio for my hard work after Office 2003
was RTM!!. Not doing this to get something for free, but come on. Be fair to
all your testers!!!.
