Office 2007

Whew, 2007 takes some getting used to. I REALLY miss the ability to tear off
menus. I can't get that to work in 2007. Is there any way to tear off a menu
to put it in the window where you want it? For instance, in PowerPoint the
really cool quick styles drop down often covers up the graphic I am working
with. I just want to tear away the drop down and move it somewhere else on
the screen. Any thoughts??? THANKS!!

YOu can add items to the Quick Access Toolbar that you commonly use in each toolbar. Press F1 help for more information on using this option.

Hi folks!
I'd be interested in finding out if there is a way in the Office 2007
applications to always, by default, save the open document in 2003
format rather than the new XML format.

If so how please?

Thanks,
Walter

Hi Wally,

In each of the Ribboned Office 2007 apps click on the Office button and then the Options button at the bottom of that dialog then
use the 'Save' settings in options to set the default file format you wish to use. You can always override it on a case by case
basis by using 'Save As'.
