I suggest calling Dell technical support and asking them if the version of
Office 2007 on your computer is a trial version or a fully-licensed version.

This information may also be found on your original invoice from Dell.

Another way to find out whether you have a trial version or a fully-licensed
version, using Word as an illustration, is to click on the Office button in
the upper left-hand corner; then click on Word Options; select 'Resources'
in the left-hand pane, and then you'll see "about Microsoft Office Word
2007? on the right. Click on the About button to bring up the About dialog.

Finally, when you type in caps in a newsgroup, that's considered shouting,
which is considered rude. Obviously, you don't mean to be rude, so please
don't type in caps.

Did you pay extra for Office 2007 when you bought your DELL? If the
answer is NO then clearly it is a trial version. The reason you are
getting this alert message now is because MS wasn't very strict in
enforcing the licensing terms on Office 2007 and Windows Vista because
the sales revenues were very low for these products but Microsoft wanted
more people to start using the new user interface of these two
products. Now Windows 7 is coming out on 22nd October and Office 2010
will be released during christmas time, MS wants people to move to newer
products.

People are getting Windows 7 upgrades for free if they buy Vista now.

Hope this helps.
