Office 2007

Having had several problems with Outlook 2007 beta, the problems have spread
to Excel and Word, in particular error mesages about being unable to create
work files and problems with the TMP variable.

I've tried to repair via the set-up program, but this gives a null error,
rolls back, and will not repair. So I tried to uninstall ... but with the
same result, the setup program is unable to remove the programs. Tried to
re-install as well, but it still reports unable to install! So I'm stuck with
malfunctioning software that I cannot remove or repair!

Any ideas?

Roll back to your backup image and try again with the beta?

Hi, Milly, thanks for the response

Yes, that would make sense of course, but I've had the beta on for months
now and added lots more stuff, so it would be a lot of work to do so.

Once problems started happening, I rolled back to the time before they first
appeared, but in fact the problems were still there and I could not repair,
uninstall or re-install.

(Also, perhaps not for this forum, I reently needed to roll back two days
and system restore somehow managed to completely delete the "My Pictures"
folder, so I've lost a bit if confidence there!)
