It would help to know what update level the software is currently. You can't
apply 12.1.1 to anything other than 12.1.0 ‹ but there's no reason to be
applying that update in the first place.
SP1 (12.1.0) includes all prior updates, SP1 (12.2.0) includes everything
later than 12.1.0, but so does the 12.2.3 Update. IOW, as long as Office is
at 12.1.0 or later 12.2.3 is all you need to apply. The simplest approaches
are to either use Help> Check for Updates in any Office App or launch the MS
AutoUpdate app directly & just let it do its thing.
If there's more you're not disclosing I don't know what else to suggest.
