Is is possible in the new version of Word, to add "alternate text" to a
picture or graphic, such as you can on a Windows machine using the "Format"
dialog box?

Hi Ron -

If you're using a news reader (such as Entourage) it's just a matter of
putting more than one group address into the To: field & separating them by
a comma, such as :

Microsoft.public.mac.office, microsoft.public.mac.office.word

In that way the message posts to the respective groups and the replies are
automatically distributed to each of those locations as well. In that way
everyone can see what - if anything - has been offered as a reply and avoids
having someone spend time answering in one group when the question's already
been addressed in another. It also makes it easier for the OP to locate the
replies by not having to check in several different locations.

Unfortunately, posters using one of the web portals can't do that because it
isn't supported, but it sure makes it easier for everyone if the nature of
the issue justifies having it appear in multiple groups.
