Office 2008 crashing on roaming profile

N

nmctech

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: intel

Office 2008 will not open on a roaming profile (we're using Leopard server) but will work fine when running on a local profile.

Office 2004 was installed previously but was either trashed or uninstalled while installing office 2008.

All recent updates have been applied but to no avail. All preferences have been trashed. Everything with the name microsoft was deleted for good and everything done from scratch but it didn't help.

Here is the error log. Thanks for any help !

I finally figured what the problem was. Since we migrated from a Tiger server to a Leopard server, the file permissions that were copied were not set right (as Leopard has faulty file permission issues).

So I created new users afresh on the Leopard server and Office runs on the roaming profiles without any hassle.

Hope this helps !

Just for completeness, to save some other Sys Admin from having to look 'em
up, can you publish the permissions you ended up with?

Thanks
