office 2008 for mac 12.2.0 update

After the 12.2.0 update, my mac denied my product keys. Why? I had to remove the whole Office 2008 and reinstall it, and avoided the 12.2.0 update, in order to operate it normally again. Thank you

Thank you for the reply. I got my software from e-bay, I guess the keys were not legitimate. I will just be happy using my office 2008 without updating.

JXF216 and Diane, how do you uninstall 12.2.0 version. I'm having the same issue with the product key and I believe I was sold an invalid key. So, I'd like to go back to 12.1.1 but do not want to lose all of my emails, etc that are on Entourage. Can you please give me step by step directions on how to do this? Thank you in advance.

Where did you get your key? If you want it validated, send it to me off list
and I'll have it verified for you.

Re-installing does not affect your data, but it's always advised that you
backup prior to updating. Zip your Main Identity folder just to be save or
copy it to another location.

I can send them to the developer to see if they have been blacklisted. No
charge. Send to me off list.

If you are absolutely sure your have a legal copy, then re-install Office
and it should work. If you purchased off eBay most likely it's been
blacklisted. Microsoft is working with eBay to stop these scammers that sell
the same keys over and over.
