Office 2008 Installation Checklist - Verifying Hard Disk format

Grant_Stuart

I have a new iMac running Leopard and want to install Office 2008. I have all the minimum requirements but can't seem to verify my hard disk format (HFS+). Instructions in the install guide suggests:

Apple menu > About this Mac > More info

However, I can't find this information. How can I find this information or is it that this is the default format for this machine.
Thanks

In the Finder, select the Mac HDD (the root of your hard disk) then
right-click and choose Get Info.

It should tell you that the format is Mac OS Extended (journaled)

Yes, that is the default. Otherwise known as HFS+

The only other option is UFS (Unix File System) and Office will not install
to that.

Hope this helps
