Office 2010 Setup failure

OK, just downloaded 2010 off my TechNet account to load on my test rig.

Specs:
Athlon II 620 (4x 2.6GHz)
8GB RAM
ATI 5970 Graphics
2TB HDD
Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Sunbelt Software Vipre

When I run setup.exe file I get error as follows:
"The language of this installation package is not supported by your system."

System settings are all US English, no tweaks applied. Downloaded package
from TechNet is English x64 (anything else wouldn't serve me well anyhow).

This system did previously have the 2010 Office Beta (x64)installed, but I
removed it and rebooted the system prior to doing download.

Tried installing this on my laptop (upgrade from Office 2007 Ultimate on
Windows 7 Ultimate) and got the same error. Downloaded the file again from
TechNet, same thing.

Solved... for me anyhow.

For whatever reason you can't extract the downloaded file before running
setup (it doesn't create the correct folder structure). Just run the actual
download, it will extract the files to your TEMP directory where you can copy
them from if you need to setup a network install. The directory in my TEMP
folder was named OWPE14A.tmp if that helps any.

Hi Comp_Dok. I am having an issue getting my RTM extracted. I checked the
Temp folder, but see no file like the one you list. The file you mention was
jus tin the Temp folder?
