Office 2K pro problem (Outlook)

Marlon C.

When trying to open Outlook I got an error message on a
white
background window saying that my pc is running low on
resources and it just hangs. I ultimately have to cold
boot the pc. This also happens after trying to open any
office application.
I'm running
MS Office 2000 Professional. Win
98SE. PIII 800Mhz, 512MB of RAM, 40GB Hard Drive with 18GB
available free space. Yes I do use Virus protection NAV. I
have done a scan, I do keep the virus definition files up
to date, and check for them and live updates daily.

I also removed office in hope that reinstalling it would
help and unfortunately it did not. This problem also
occurs when opening Word or Excel.
I'd appreciate any help any one is able to provide.

Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately this didn't
work. Thank you for your kind effort.

If you have been running your computer continually for a long time, or have
run many large programs, and/or are running lots of programs at once, you
yould run out of system resources. Some programs don't release resources
when they close. This happens lots when the program isn't closed properly.

Rebooting is the only way to recover.
