office 2k update

i'm looking to apply office 2k updates, however, it
appears that office was install over the network through
an "office product administrator". Therefore, when i
attempt to update throught the office website it gives me
the message that i am unable to update. also, in addition
to the this, the server that provided office is no longer
available. would anyone know how to change the reg to
make office no longer look at the server for updates?
