Office 2k very slow

Hi,

One of the users I support is finding office 2000 very
slow to operate, particularly outlook 2000. When she
clicks open new message, it takes 5-10 secs to open and
clicking send on a message, it hangs the pc for 10 secs
until it clears.

She is running windows 2000 (sp4) on a compaq D51S evo
Pentium 4 2.0Ghz. Office has service pack 3 installed.

Any ideas as to why things are running slowly?
