Office 2k3-Outlook Note viewing

I am having to click "Notes" on the Navigation Pane of OL 2k3, then click a
smaller icon that appears at the top of the pane called "My Notes" to view
the notes. I have to do this once per session. Afterwards, I can click
"Notes" on the Navigation Pane once and the notes appear. I have tried
using the shortcut, which is "Ctrl+5" to view my notes and the first time I
try to view notes in each session, nothing happens.

Is there a way to get around the two-step process each time I open OL?

Hi, ATL,

What do you see in the right-hand side after clicking "Notes" the first
time? Is it just blank?

The way I'd get around it would be to use just the "Shortcuts" bar on the
Navigation Bar, then put in it the shortcuts I use most often. This might
cut down your navigation to Notes, as well as in the other pieces of
Outlook.
