Hi, Steve,

What's the operating system of your new computer?

Office (95) for Windows 95 isn't supported any longer...but it should run on
Windows 95 or Windows 98 (or probably ME). I'm not sure if it works beyond
that.

If you're using Windows XP, you might try running Office 95 in "Windows 95
compatibility mode" to see if that helps.

Microsoft Exchange is a messaging server software. Somehow, your system
thinks that you may be in an Exchange environment.

You don't "need" to spend big bux to update to new software, except that you
probably updated your operating system, and thus have compatibility issues.
Software manufacturers aren't going to continue to test compatibility of
legacy packages forever, so if you update one thing, it may require an
update to another.

If you can find an upgrade package to Office 2000 (from Ebay or somewhere),
that might be a less expensive upgrade alternative for you.
