Office 97 Access error.

I am using Windows XP but I have to keep using Office 97 because the
conversion of an Access file will not convert to the any later version.

Although Word works well, the Access program will give the following error.

"Microsoft Access can't start because there is no license for it on this
machine"

Access is paid and it is only in this computer because the software is
relatively old.

Is there someone out there that could help as this would be valuable.
