office 97 and window Xp pro

i have a copy of office 97 for quite awhile now > i recently bought a computer with Xp pro on it . When working on word and sometimes excel doc.s my ccomputer crashes and i can't find or sometimes open the doc.s that i was working on. The crash anaylsis says its a Device Driver error. Any suggestions

Nothing to do with Officd 97 as this product does work on XP an doesn't
install device drivers.

Suggestion: figure out what device driver it is. Use System restore to
go back a version or two.

Read the error log and ascertain what driver is causing the issue.
