Office 97 and Windows XP

I am upgrading computers and Dell says that I cannot run
Office 97 on Windows XP. If this is true, has anyone
tried to install Windows 98 on an new Dell? Does MS
provide a download to allow Office 97 users to continue to
us the software on a Windows XP system?

Office 97 will run just fine on Windows XP.

Occasionally, after installing Office 97 on Windows XP or Windows 2000, you
will receive the following message: "Microsoft Access can't start because
there is no license for it on this machine." This problem is due, of all
things, to a font. The fix for that problem, should it occur, is found at:
