Office 97 and WinXP problem

I have a new laptop with windowsXP. When I tried to load office97 I got the
error message:

"Htmlarq.ocx was unable to register itself in the registry"

Word, excel etc work but not access, which I really need for some of my
clients. I have tried to uninstall office 97 through the control panel but
it wont allow me to. I have tried to reinstall using the office CD but this
gives the same error message. I have also tried renaming the hatten.ttf font
file but this makes no difference. I have even reformatted my hard drive and
reinstalled winXP and then tried to load office97. Same problem. I have 2
different versions of office 97 cds and each gives me the same result. Is
there a problem with WinXP and office 97??

Not sure where to go from here.

Hi John, I had the same problem and have now fixed it. Go to
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=141373 and it should solve your problem. If
I can follow the instructions anybody can! Polly Barton
