Office 97 install on XP pro

I bought a copy of office 97 a few years ago and have just
changed to a new computer - I have all of the key numbers
and ID numbers, but it tells me that it is an upgrade (it
was not) and I cannot install it unless it finds one of the
programs on my system - I have Word on my system but none
of the other office products. Any ideas as to how to get
it to install muy old version of Office or do I have to
purchase a new one? aar

I bought Office 97 a fews years ago for my old pc. I
still have the original CD and packaging. Am I able to
install it on my new WIN "XP" pc???? Will it work ok???
