Office 97 Installation on new computer

Len

I uninstalled Office 97 from my old computer and
reinstalled it on my new computer... When I try to open
Outlook I get this; "Outlook.exe has encounted a problem
and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
.....says something about my digital id to protect my
product.
I sent the error report to msn. Will they respond? Do I
need to contact them?
Thx for any info.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling again on the new
machine? Also are you running OL97 or OL98 (which was a
free upgrade I believe)? If you're running OL97 you really
should upgrade to at least 98 since OL97 is pants. No idea
where you might be able to get 98 from these days though.

One thing you could try is typing the exact message in at
www.google.co.uk. You're bound to find a link relating to
the error message and you may also find a solution. And
make sure you're precise with the text of your search.
