Office 97 - need to reinstall

I just had Windows 98 reinstalled on my Dell PC. Now I am
trying to install all my programs including Office 97. I
have an Office 97 Small Business Edition CD but no longer
have my certificate of authenticity that is required to
run the set up. I also have a Professional Edition CD that
I bought but when I insert it, the CD drive light goes
out. When I go to My Computer and click on that drive it
says "The directory name is invalid." What can I do to get
one of these CDs to work? Thanks for any help or input.

Contact Dell for assistance with preinstalled software.

We need to establish whether ANY CD works in this drive? Have you tried
anything else?

Please respond in the same thread on this newsgroup. Make sure you
include details of your application and Windows versions, and whether
or not you have included any service pack updates.

I was unable to "Reply (e-mail)" It said my default mail
client is not properly installed...that's a questions for
another time though. Thanks for responding to my
questions. I got an "OEM number" from My Computer that
enabled me to load the Small Business Edition on my PC. So
yes, the drive works. I've installed my scanner software
and MS Frontpage from it. But the Professional Edition of
Office 97 still does not work. Must be a bad CD. My next
question: although I've got Word, Excel, Outlook,
Publisher on my PC now, I want them on the Office Shortcut
tool bar. When I searched for this toolbar it lead me to
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Shortcut Bar. And
there's nothing in the Shortcut Bar file. I'll search for
a download of the shortcut bar on the MSN site - or if any
other hints, let me know. Thanks.
