Office 97 no longer useable

When I bought my fist computer 10 years ago it came with Office 97. I learned
to use it and liked it. Last year my son bought for me Office 2007. Now
everything converts to Office 2007 which deprives me of the use of office 97.
I don't want to have to remove Office 2007. Will I have to do so to prevent
it from interfering with Office 97? Alderrick

If you start Word 97 first, can you open documents in it? If so, see

Although this is written for Word 2003, it can perhaps be adapted for Word
97.
