Office 97 on Windows XP SP1

I am thniking of buying a new PC which has XP home as
standard.
Does anyone know if office 97 can be used on an XP
platform? I have a licensed copy which I am loathed to
upgrade if I dont have to, as it at present serves my
needs.

Office 97 will run just fine on Windows XP.

Occasionally, after installing Office 97 on Windows XP or Windows 2000, a
user
may receive the following message: "Microsoft Access can't start because
there is no license for it on this machine." This problem is due, of all
things, to a font. The fix for that problem, should it occur, is found at:
