Office 97 PE on XP Home

I have had my version of Office 97 PE since I had Win95
and Me. I can not load the Office 97 on XP even when
using compatibility mode for 95.

System can not recognise any licensed software.

Please help.

Hi Jon,

Office 97 works on Windows XP. If you're getting
error 1606, that would be an Office 97 upgrade edition
and you'll need to have the CD or diskette available for
one of the products listed here:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=158069
