Office 97 Pro cannot open Read-only File

I've a problem with MS Office Pro 97 in a pc running on Windows
XP. The thing is when this pc trying to open a word document which is
password protected as Read-only, it will not open. I've try to open the same
file in other Windows XP pc which is installed with same MS Office Pro 97,
it can open. I did uninstall the Office Pro 97 and re-install it
back....still the same.

You are encountering a bug corrected in SR-1 for Office 97. It is
recommended you use a fully patched Office 97 installation as there
were numerous bugs corrected in each patch. Here is some information
