Office 97 Pro install errors

I previously had my copy of Office97Pro installed on my
desktop PC which is running Win ME. When I did the
installtion I got and error telling me that ACMSETUP has
cause an error in Kernal32.dll. I clicked the OK button on
the error window and everything seemed OK. I fact all the
Office program ran fine on the desktop. However, when I
moved Office97Pro to my new laptop (also running Win ME) I
got the same error message and Outlook will not open
properly. When I launch Outlook I get an error message
like this: Outlook has caused an error in MAPI32.dll.
Outlook will now close.
Also when I try to uninstall Office 97 Pro from the laptop
I get and error that says: a program called off97pro.stf
is missing or corrupted.
Can anyone help with these issues?? Thanks.
