office 97 pro (sr2) compatibility with office 2000

I work for a school. They have just put in MS office 97
Professional service Release 2.
I have the same program on my home computer as I bring
work home from school.
I want to upgrade to Office 2000.

I want to know if the documents I bring home that were
created on the office 97 Pro (sr2) program will be
accessible on office 2000?
Will I run into problems or can I use them interchangeably?

I would really appreciate an answer.

They should work just fine. Although, you may want to set your compatibility
to Work 97 under Tools->Options->Compatiblity.
