Office 97 Pro upgrade doesn't recognize Office 97 SBE

I'm trying to load Office 97 Professional Edition Upgrade.
During Setup, it looks for qualifying previous versions. I
have Office 97 Small Business Edition, Version 2.0. It
can't seem to recognize it, even when I point to the
directory containing Winword.exe or other Office 97 files.
Ultimately, I'm instructed to call Microsoft Support, who
tell me they don't (support) anymore. Can anyone help?

No no one can help you, since that is not a qualifying product for the
upgrade edition of Office 97....it would have to be an earlier version such
as Office 95 not a parallel office version. You cannot use an upgrade
version of Office 97 to upgrade to a different version of Office 97. In any
event MS no longer supports Office 97.
