office 97 questions

On my previous post, I expressed my irritation with
office 97 autocorrect. Since I have updated to
windows xp pro, should I upgrade office 97 or does it work
as well as any? What, if anything, would you suggest I
upgrade to? Thanks

Hi, billtay,

Office 97 is compatible with Windows XP Pro. The later versions of Office
are more tightly integrated with the operating system and may take more
advantage of the latest technology; however, for most use, Office 97 is
fine. Do consider that Microsoft discontinues active support after a
certain period of time, so Office 97 support will be discontinued soon.

However, if it works for you, you may not want to spend the $$ to upgrade.
