Office 97 reload

I had an older computer crash and had to reformat /
reinstall everything. I lost my original version of word
but still have the upgrade copy of Office 97. I can't
load the upgrade because the setup doesn't find
the "original versions on the drive". Any suggestions?
it's an old system that is good for homework, so I don't
want to spend $ on an upgrade.

It is looking for the qualifying program that you used to load the Office 97
upgrade. Per the upgrade license, you are required to retain the QP as a
part of the license. If you do not, then your license is invalid.
